Why Fennoc

Keep everything your phone can do. Lose the clutter on the way there.

Dumb phones strip away your maps, banking, and camera. App blockers lock you out until a timer expires. Minimalist launchers turn your icons grayscale, but still leave you scrolling through a wall of apps.

Fennoc replaces your home screen with a single calm Stage. A reminder shows only when its time comes. Phone, Messages, and the last three apps you opened sit just above the dock, and the fox is always ready at the bottom to talk or type.

Zero badge noise

No grid of icons vying for your eyes. Just a reminder when it is due, Phone and Messages, and the three apps you used most recently.

Texts and calls wait for your tap

Before a text or a call goes out, the fox shows it on a card. Nothing goes out until you tap. A reminder you add shows Undo for a few seconds.

Private by default

No ads, no data brokers, and no attention harvesting. Your voice turns into text on your phone. You can ask us to delete your account at any time.

Direct launch

“Open Music.”

When you already know which app you need, you shouldn’t have to swipe past twenty unread badges to reach it.

The grid 5 steps

  1. Swipe up to all apps
  2. Scroll and look
  3. Tap search
  4. Type “mus”
  5. Tap Music

5 taps · 2 swipes · past 8 unread notification badges

Fennoc 2 steps

  1. Tap the fox
  2. Say “Open Music”

1 tap · 2 words · straight into Music

Both sides are acted out at a typical pace. A stopwatch test on a real phone replaces these clocks before launch.

From your last word to the open app: 72 ms.

Capabilities

Say what you need. Skip the detour.

Most pickups are for one specific job—checking store hours, replying to a text, or setting a reminder. Tell the fox in plain English, by voice or keyboard.

Voice or keyboard

Tap the fox and speak—even a half-formed thought works. In a quiet room or a meeting? Tap the keyboard icon and type instead.

Done means gone

Nothing waits on the Stage to nag you. A reminder shows when its day comes. Tap Done and it goes, with a few seconds to undo. If you miss one, it comes back once the next day. Then it lets go, unless you tap Bring back.

Calls, texts, timers, and directions

“Text Sam I’m five minutes out.” “Set a 12-minute pasta timer.” “Directions to the hardware store.” Handled right from the Stage. Calls, texts, timers, alarms, and directions work offline too.

Answers without the feed

Check the forecast, store hours, or a quick fact. The answer rises on a clean card, with no browser full of tabs.

Every Android app stays installed

Need your banking app, camera, or authenticator? Ask the fox to open it, tap it from your recent shelf, or search your full app drawer anytime.

Guardrails you set yourself

Put a 30-second wait in front of the apps and sites that pull you in, during work hours or late at night. You pick the rules. Guardrails come with Fennoc.

No pile of tabs

Ask for help with a task, and the fox opens the page it needs. Finish, tap Done, and the page is gone. Nothing waits in a tab to pull you back.

Your app time

Pick the apps that pull you in, and see the minutes you spend in them each day. Only you see the count, and it stays on your phone. It comes with Fennoc.

The guide

For a job with several steps, the fox shows one step at a time. You tap “Done, next step” when you are ready for the next. The guide comes with Fennoc.

With Fennoc

Calm tools for the hard parts

A job with many steps. An app that pulls you in. A page you opened for one reason. These screens come with the Fennoc plan.

The guide

One step at a time, from what you asked. Tap “Done, next step” when you are ready. When the job is done, its page closes.

The wait

Before you loosen a guardrail, the fox asks for a 30-second wait. The ring here runs faster, to show the idea.

Guardrails

Start from a set such as Work hours or Bedtime. Tap Add, or Skip. You choose the apps, the sites and the hours.

On-device insights

See where your minutes go

Pick the apps that pull you in. Fennoc counts the minutes you spend in them each day for the last seven days. Only you see the count, and it stays on your phone. Your app time comes with Fennoc.

Example figures, to show the screen.

How a turn works

From thought to done in seconds

  1. Tap and speak (or type)

Tap the fox in the dock. It hops to the center of the Stage and its ears tilt with your voice.

  2. The fox does the legwork

Timers, alarms, directions, and app opens run on the phone at once. A call or a text waits for your tap. Web answers come back in seconds.

  3. Done right on the Stage

The fox puffs away as your answer or card rises from the bottom. Phone, Messages, and the last three apps you used stay on your shelf.

Founder note

Why Fennoc exists

I have ADHD and a demanding job. I want to live up to my potential and be present with my friends and family. But my phone still hooked me. I would pick it up to do one simple thing and end up scrolling.

I read almost every productivity book and tried every system. Each one worked for a few weeks. Then the novelty wore off, and the system needed me to run it faithfully: the weekly review, the inbox, the capture habit. I stopped, and the system stopped with me.

A dumb phone, app blockers and minimalist launchers boxed me in. So I started Fennoc to work around how I actually am. It is a full phone with one calm screen. I say what I need, I do it, I tap Done, and it is gone. There is no system for me to keep up.

FAQ

Questions & Answers

Straight answers before you switch home screens.

Using it

What can I ask the fox?

Ask the way you would ask a person: “When does the hardware store close?”, “Set a timer for 10 minutes”, “Text Sam I’m running late”, “Open Music”. Timers, alarms, directions, and apps run right on the phone. A call or a text waits for your tap. Other questions come back as an answer.

Do I have to talk out loud?

No. Tap “Type” and write it instead. Fennoc has no wake word. It listens only when you tap the fox.

Can I still open any app?

Yes. Every app stays on your phone. Say “Open” and the app’s name, or open the full app list from the home screen and pick it.

How is it different from an app blocker?

A blocker stands at the app’s door and makes you fight it. Fennoc gives you the answer, so most of the time you don’t need the app at all. Every app stays one deliberate step away, and you can still block the ones that pull you in.

Can I go back to my old home screen?

Yes, any time. In your phone’s Settings, search for “Home app” and pick your old one. Your apps and their data stay as they were.

Which phones does it work on?

Android phones running Android 14 or later. Apple does not allow custom home screens on iPhone, so Fennoc is Android only for now. You can join the iPhone waitlist.

Who can use Fennoc?

People 18 and older in the United States. Privacy laws set this age. The terms have the details.

Price

Is there a free version?

Yes, for as long as you like. At launch, you can also try full Fennoc free for 14 days. On the free tier, the calm home screen, on-device voice commands (timers, alarms, calls, texts, directions, opening apps), reminders on your phone, and a small taste of the fox are all included. See what Fennoc adds.

What do beta testers get?

The beta is free. Testers who stay for the whole test get Fennoc free for a year after launch.

What happens if I stop paying?

You keep the free home screen and your reminders. The fox still handles on-device commands, and you keep a small taste of the fox.

How do I cancel?

In Google Play, tap your profile picture, then Payments & subscriptions, then Subscriptions, then Fennoc. Cancel during the 14 free days and you pay nothing.

Privacy

Does my voice leave the phone?

No. Your voice turns into text on the phone, and the audio is not sent anywhere. When the phone understands a command by itself, such as a timer or “Open Music”, the words stay on the phone. Other requests send their words to Fennoc’s server. The privacy policy lists everything that is sent.

Does Fennoc read my email?

No. Fennoc does not ask for your email. If you allow calendar access, the home screen shows your next event. Your events stay on your phone. You can turn that off at any time in Android settings. The privacy policy lists what is sent.
